Mr Rikesh Ballah has more than 20 years of experience in various industries including Financial Services, Consumer & Retail, ICT, Real Estate.

Mr Rikesh Ballah is the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Moldova in the Republic Mauritius.

Mr Rikesh Ballah has been a member of the Managing Committee of the Association of Consular Corps in Mauritius since March 2020 till date and also held the following positions:

  • Treasurer from March 2020 to March 2024 (4 years);
  • President from 29 March 2024 to 31 March 2026 (2 years); and
  • Immediate Past President (IPP) from 1 April 2026 for a period of 2 years

Mr. Rikesh Ballah has been appointed as the Chairperson for the Eastern Africa Regional Committee by the International Federation of Consular Corps and Associations (“FICAC” or the ‘World Federation of Consuls) since 19 March 2026.

FICAC is a global network of Consular Associations created to support and improve the status, legitimacy and effectiveness of all consular officers in all receiving States. Its aims are to promote and strengthen mutual understanding between Honorary Consuls and Career Consuls worldwide; develop a framework and basis for exchange of current information, ideas and suggestions regarding matters related to the office of Honorary Consuls and Career Consuls; promote at national level and international for a better understanding of duties and responsibilities. Diplomatic Award

2020
Mr Rikesh Ballah was awarded the ‘Diplomatic Merit’ Medal Class III from the Republic of Moldova in Year 2020 and the patent was conferred by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Moldova.

Mr Rikesh Ballah has access to the international network of Embassies, Diplomats and Honorary Consuls across the globe.

2025
Awarded the Honorary Member of the Association of Geography and Ethnology of Moldova on 7th January 2025 for Outstanding Contribution in the field of Geographical and Tourism Sciences and Promotion of the Republic of Moldova at International Level.

  • Big 4 accountancy firms in Cyprus, Ireland and Luxembourg as well as leading offshore management companies in both Luxembourg and Mauritius
  • Board Member of several companies in Insurance, Financial Services, Information & Communication Technology, Retail, FMCG, Real Estate
  • Previous Board Member of SICOM General Insurance Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of SICOM Group, from October 2017 to November 2020

  • BSc Honours Accounting and Finance, University of Birmingham, UK and graduated with an upper-second (2:1) honours degree in Year 2005
